TaxAssist Accountants are a national network of accountants across Ireland delivering accounting and tax services to independent business owners. We are looking for a Senior Accountant who can build relationships with clients. You won't be pigeon holed into one function- you will get real experience across all business types and industries. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and planning assignments, work in progress and billing whilst ensuring all deadlines are met

  • Maintaining an excellent working relationship with clients while developing the client base by meeting prospects

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for SME businesses

  • Bookkeeping, preparing Vat returns & payroll

  • Assisting with company formations and new business tax registrations

  • Preparing income tax and corporation tax returns

  • Filing Companies Registration Office returns

  • Management accounts, Projections, loan applications & grant applications

  • Supervision and mentoring of staff

  • Implement and monitor accounting processes and controls and document policies and procedures

Your Qualification and Educational Requirements:

  • Attained professional accountancy qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA)

  • Proficiency in Accounting and Bookkeeping packages, ideally, Relate Accounts Production, Dext/Surf Accounts, Thesaurus/Brightpay, CORE and ROS.

  • Must have previous Irish Accountancy Practice experience

Your Experience and Skills:

  • You will be ACA, CPA or ACCA qualified with previous Irish practice experience.

  • You will be proactive and able to work on own initiative, have excellent attention to detail, good people skills, highly organised and a genuine desire to be a trusted advisor to small business clients.
