Working model: Min 4 days per week in office/max 1 day per week remote
About Us
M50 Concession Ltd is responsible for the Operations & Maintenance of the M50 Motorway – one of the most critical links in Ireland’s transport network. Connecting Dublin Airport and Dublin Port with the rest of national network, the M50 carries over 160,000 vehicles per day, with daily traffic peaks volumes exceeding 180,000 vehicles.
Under a 35-year Public Private Partnership (PPP) with TII (Transport Infrastructure Ireland) as Grantor, M50 Concession Limited is tasked with upgrading works, financing, operation & maintenance of the M50, with a contract’s end date in 2042.

About the role
In this role, you will take responsibility for managing the company’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) plans, ensuring their effective implementation through coordination of technical teams. You will focus on maintaining high technical standards and delivering excellent service to infrastructure users. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support strategic planning in collaboration with the General Manager and develop action plans to achieve shareholder-driven objectives.
What you will do?
Ensure compliance with the technical parameters defined in the Concession Contract, the Construction Contract and the O&M requirements in the Operating Phase.
Maintain strong working relationships with the technical teams of the Grantor, Local Authorities and other key stakeholders.
Maintain good working relationships with other local administrations and 3rd parties related to the management of the project.
Update and manage the Operating Plan in line with the Concession Agreement, legislation and corporate guidelines.
Manage the operating budget including its services (operation, major and minor maintenance, conservation, winter maintenance, emergency response, etc).
Supervise preventive, corrective and routine maintenance, long term reinvestment in the infrastructure and sustainability needs.
Coordinate in conjunction with the Management and Corporate Departments on contract modifications.
Lead incident resolution in accordance with contractual obligations and coordinate the teams involved.
Manage operating personnel, including support for selection and training processes and performance oversights.
Act as the primary liaison with emergency, relief and security services. Lead emergency management efforts.
Support the General Manager in complying with the contractual requirements for public information and customer service.
Prepare technical progress reports for the Authority, Local Authorities and the Board of Directors.
Maintain and enhance the Concession's operating systems.
Assist in the commercial management of contracts.
Manage purchases in the all the technical fields including tendering, contractor selection, monitoring and validation of invoicing.
Define and implement technical and operations processes.
Manage occupational health and safety protocols, acting as the H&S Lead.
Supervision of Quality, Environmental, Sustainability and Energy Efficiency ISO Certifications (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO50001), and compliance with the Integrated Management System.
Participate in the Support and Evaluation Team as part of the Governance Framework.
Promote adherence to systems, procedures and policies set by the Company, Shareholders and lenders.
Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
What you will bring?
· Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
· At least 5 years’ experience in operations and maintenance in an infrastructure focused environment.
· Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· In-depth knowledge of contract management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
· Proven ability to manage emergencies and complex operational challenges.
