This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading this dynamic business through a period of ambitious growth, including the establishment of a manufacturing site. The role will develop over time as the company scales and requires an individual who has the experience to help shape what will be an international business with huge future potential.
Who we are?
TFI Marine is an exciting business about to launch its proprietary Sea Spring technology on the global market. Market feedback is very positive indicating that we can achieve sales revenue of at least €500m annually within the next five years. We are finalizing a funding round to raise sufficient equity to cover the cost of our initial factory.
As Head of Finance, you will have overall responsibility for Finance and Procurement. Reporting to the CEO, you will provide strategic leadership and input to key commercial decisions as well as support key supplier and customer contract negotiations. As the company is at the start of an ambitious growth plan, you will be a key driver of the development of processes and systems to support the growth. The role is based on-site at our Dublin offices but will require some international travel from time to time. We are bringing to market a technology that will disrupt the moorings market.
Your responsibilities will include:
Financial, strategic and commercial leadership to the Senior Management Team including CEO, Executive Chairman and CTO.
Developing and managing all aspects of the Finance and Procurement function, putting in place resources and processes appropriate to the market and target companies
Support commercial decision making and negotiations with suppliers, customers and key partners.
Long term and short-term planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Managing the cash resources of the company including identifying long-term funding requirements and supporting equity and debt raise as required.
Managing key stakeholder reporting requirements – Board, Shareholders, Investors - ensuring timely and meaningful management reporting.
Financial reporting, Statutory and Tax compliance.
Establish key procurement and internal financial control processes to ensure effective cost control and operational efficiency.
Implement manufacturing, costing and inventory systems as part of a start-up manufacturing operation.
You will be:
An experienced Head of Finance with previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally large- scale industrial manufacturing, with product costing expertise
Comfortable with working in what is effectively a start-up manufacturing operation, scaling rapidly with significant change, uncertainty, and ambiguity.
Able to work effectively at both the strategic and detailed operational level.
A strategic leader with a broad commercial mindset.
Qualified accountant with minimum of 7 years post qualification experience.
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
