About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Engineer.  As part of this new role, you will be responsible for providing information, implementation,  development, support and maintenance of ICT software (company specific software and standard office software), hardware, services and associated infrastructure across Midland Streel offices for approx 250 employees. The IT Engineer is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands

What you will do?

  • Implementation, development, support and maintenance of company-wide ICT requirements.

  • Act as the key interface for ensuring the smooth integration of both current and future company specific software solutions.

  • Supporting the business by delivering a professional and dedicated ICT service to all end users.

  • Providing an analytical and process-orientated approach to all ICT issues.

  • Sourcing and ordering hardware.

  • Demonstrating a positive approach to problem prevention and problem solving.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to make recommendations for ICT improvements through feedback.

What you will bring?

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing software interfaces/deskside IT/field service IT

  • Enthusiastic self-starter and must have fluent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Be appropriately resourceful and a keen trouble-shooter

  • Have a professional attitude, good work ethic and efficiently pursue attention to detail

  • Able to work on your own initiative, be socially confident, proactive and passionate about developing and supporting ICT, which will in turn impact on efficiency and customer service.

  • The candidate should be familiar with generation of reports and undertaking analysis using typical office environment tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
