GemCap is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team in Booterstown, Co. Dublin. This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working arrangements available.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in the finance function in ensuring all relevant accounting records of Gemcap and its funds under management are properly maintained and readily available including assisting the coordination and management of annual and semi-annual financial statements
  • Assist in all tax reporting (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax etc) to ensure they are up to date and accurately maintained
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Assist in the preparation the regulatory reports of the Company in respect of the Funds
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly financial report to the Board
  • Assist in the review and recording of invoices to determine their classification in the accounts
  • Review and process the cash reconciliation for all accounts held by the company on a weekly basis
  • Assist in the management and processing of staff related payments and benefits
  • Assist in the oversight of budgets and forecasts for the Funds. This would entail:-
  • Liaising with auditors as appropriate.
  • Working with the Board and other interested parties to establish the annual budgets and future business forecasts.
  • Review of annual and interim Fund Financial Statements
  • Assist in the maintenance the Company's accounting policies and procedures;
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence
  • Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the Regulator

 

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification (Degree / Diploma) with excellent organisational skills. They will be solution focused with the ability to get on with people in a team-based dynamic environment.
