Role Description: 

PCO Manufacturing Group are looking to add an experienced IT Support to their service desk team. The successful candidate will provide second level support to PCO Manufacturing staff. Reporting to the Group IT Manager, the role will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, managing new deployments, managing IT projects, providing technical support to staff and working with third party vendors.  

 

This role will be primarily based in PCO Manufacturing offices in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and will cover business hours, but some flexibility is expected where needed.

Technical Skills: 

  • Experience working with virtualised infrastructure (VMWare / Hyper-V).

  • Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, WAN, LAN, and WLAN).

  • Experience working with and knowledge of firewalls.

  • Strong sense of information security -design, maintain and promote security efforts.

  • Must have demonstrable experience working with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS (M365/Azure/AWS). 

  • Detailed knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Windows 10 & 11.

  • Must have demonstrable experience in Windows Server Administration, Server 12/16/19.

  • Must have demonstrable experience with MDM solutions, such as Intune.

  • Experience providing hardware support. 

  • Ability to multi-task across several open cases, projects and assigned tasks. 

Qualifications / Experience

  • Relevant 3rd Level IT qualification.

  • Minimum 4-5 years in a desktop support or helpdesk role.

  • Proven experience of successfully completing assigned projects. 

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience. 

  • Microsoft/Cisco/VMware certification (or actively working towards certification) a distinct advantage.
