Order of Malta Ireland
We are seeking a First Aid Trainer to deliver a variety of First Aid and related courses offered by Order of Malta Ireland to both individual and corporate clients. This includes managing the preparation of course materials and packs for students, as well as organising the room setup. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Order of Malta Ireland. Collaboration is also required across the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide instruction on the course content to meet the educational and training standards set by PHECC and Order of Malta Ireland.
Arrive at an appropriate time before the start of each course to ensure timely commencement. Courses may be on-site in client premises or in our training centre in Clyde Road, Ballsbridge or at such premises outside Dublin as is within reasonable travelling distance.
Be available for occasional Saturday courses.
Conduct all required assessments and evaluations for each course delivery.
Provide feedback on course content, delivery, and outcomes.
Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to maintain high training standards.
Oversee the property of Order of Malta Ireland and supervise the packing and unpacking of all equipment during transport to and from courses.

Maintain appropriate communication with students.
Encourage and praise students when appropriate.
Treat each student with dignity and respect.
Offer sensitive, constructive guidance regarding further progression and development.
Listen to and address any concerns students may have regarding their progress.
Familiarise themselves with the ethos and network of Order of Malta Ireland.
Qualifications - Essential
You must have the following qualifications as specified by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC), or equivalent body:
First Aid Response Instructor
Cardiac First Response Community Instructor
Cardiac First Response Advanced Instructor
Cardiac First Response and Medications for Listed Organisations
Emergency First Response Instructor
Emergency Medical Technician
Practitioner on the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Register
A minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Full clean drivers licence essential.
Qualifications – Desirable
PHECC Educational Award Holder at Assistant Tutor or Tutor level
Train the Trainer qualification.

Salary and Benefits
Salary: €35,000 – €45,000 + Expenses
Pension contributions and company sick leave scheme
