Role Description 

This role will work with the custom programs department at Learn International and report The Manager of Custom programs. This role seeks an individual who enjoys project management & logistics in the educational tourism sector. This role will work closely with the Manager of Custom Programs on programme planning for University tour groups visiting various destinations across Europe. This is a fast paced position requiring a lot of flexibility and ability to work well under pressure. 

 

Summary of Job Duties


Programme Operations and Implementation (60%)

You will work closely with our university partners to coordinate group tours, which requires timely communication and professionalism. You will organise multiple itineraries in a variety of countries by preparing all logistical aspects of each tour and follow a strict budget. You will also manage the day-to-day operations of these programmes and ensure each program runs smoothly and efficiently, along with other duties that may be assigned..

 

Student and Faculty Services (25%)

You will collaborate with our partner universities and ensure student and faculty welfare are supported throughout each program. This requires a keen eye to detail by collecting information through our CRM, reviewing submitted data such as health information and ensuring accommodations are made and protocols are followed for risk management. You will also coordinate 20+ pre-departure remote sessions, organise 20+ in-country orientations, and maintain wellbeing protocols, along with other duties that may be assigned.


Other Administrative Duties (15%)

You will assist with program development such as research for proposals for future programs.  You will create visually attractive itineraries or promotional materials using CANVA or similar software and our CRM. In addition, you will work to enhance risk management and emergency protocols. You will also be responsible for an urgent phone that is rotated amongst the team, along with other duties that may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a relevant field such as tourism, event planning, or project management.

  • Experience using a CRM (ZOHO preferred) or similar software

  • Event planning experience and customer service

  • Excellent technology skills, google suite, and Excel skills 

  • Experience managing programme budgets and negotiation skills 

  • Understanding of tourism industry and project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 + years experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Event Management, or Project Management.

  • Experience working with higher education institutions and students

  • Second language in Spanish, German or Italian

  • Up-to-Date CPR & First Aid Certification

Compensation & Benefits:
