 About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for talented Building Services Engineer to join our small innovative team. This role is perfect for a Building Services Engineer or a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer with experience in building services and M&E.

What you will do?

  • Manage a portfolio of projects commencing and in progress.

  • Generate and develop new business through relationships with other service providers.

  • Meet with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.

  • Review RFIs, technical submissions, equipment registers, and trackers.

  • Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems.

  • Work with the office team to bring these designs to Revit/BIM/CAD, etc.

  • Complete mechanical & electrical specifications, schedules, layouts, and schematics design and verification on site.

  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets from inception to project hand-over.

  • Carry out inspections using ArctechPro and provide cost reports on live projects and progress reports for project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients.

  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

 What you will bring?

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience, ideally on a wide range of M&E building services projects.

  • Ideally a Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Membership of Engineers Ireland, CIBSE, and good knowledge of the current building regulations and technical guidance documentation.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of the design team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to mentor and develop others.

  • Exceptional time management and ability to work to tight deadlines to deliver projects.

  • Ability to stay up to date with advancements in technology and engineering design trends.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Full clean driving licence & access to own vehicle.
